John Stephenson

Biological Response
Mr. Stephenson is a research scientist in the Ecology Group. John specializes in developing technologies, sensors, and methods for research in aquatic environments and in the deployment of a wide variety of large-scale field studies. He also, operates and oversees experiments conducted in PNNL’s Mobile Aquatic Barotrauma Laboratory located at the Aquatic Research Laboratory. The goal of this research is to study the physiological effects of rapid decompression on fish, which occurs when fish are passing downstream through hydro-turbines.
